Ever since high school, Haig’s purpose was to become a lawyer to defend the rights of the Armenian people within the theater of international law. When the Second Nagorno-Karabakh War began, his non-licensed status did not stop him from educating others on the war crimes and crimes against humanity committed by Azerbaijani and Turkish forces against the soldiers and civilians of Nagorno-Karabakh. Haig is a licensed attorney and continues his work at the Center as head of the Translation Team.
